Behind this mission is a founding couple who understands the importance of quality rest and pain-free living all too well.

Meet the Founder

Gerry Peck, the visionary behind PillowEase®, comes from a diverse background. He's not your typical bedding industry insider, but that's what makes his journey to PillowEase® so unique. 

A firm believer in the transformative power of a good night's sleep, Gerry embarked on a mission to provide unparalleled comfort and relief for all. His story is a testament to the idea that necessity truly is the mother of invention.

The Inspiration

Gerry's journey to PillowEase® was triggered by a personal struggle. In his past life, he was a workaholic – a common path for many of us. Gerry faced almost debilitating lower back pain that severely impacted his ability to rest and recover. The discomfort he experienced during sleep led him to search for a solution.

The most immediate relief he found was placing a pillow under his knees while sleeping. It provided the support he needed, but there was a catch. The constant need to adjust the pillow, particularly when switching from his back to his side, became a frustrating nightly ritual. Sheets would tangle and interrupt his sleep journey, leaving Gerry to grapple with disarray in the dark of night.

This daily struggle became the catalyst for change. Gerry envisioned a pillow that could reduce this friction, making it easier for anyone to transition from one sleep position to another without the hassle of shaking out sheets. 

The concept of PillowEase® was born – a pillow designed to be more than just a sleep aid. It aimed to make restful nights a reality for people like Gerry, who sought comfort and relief all night (and day) long!

From Idea to Innovation

Gerry's idea for PillowEase® set him on a path of innovation. However, transforming this vision into a reality wasn't a simple task. It was a journey filled with trial and error as he sought to perfect the concept. Friends, family, and focus groups played an essential role in refining the design and ensuring it met the high standards of comfort and practicality.

Production itself was a complex process, and the couple faced supply chain challenges that threatened to derail Gerry's dream. Despite these setbacks, he remained steadfast in his determination to bring PillowEase® to those who needed it most.

PillowEase® Today

PillowEase® has evolved into a product with a broader purpose. While it still serves those who prefer to sleep with a pillow under or between their knees, it has become a versatile solution for those dealing with chronic pain conditions. Gerry's innovative design has shown time and time again that even the slightest pressure relief on troublesome joints can bring meaningful comfort and relief.
